Health & Social Care Tutor / Assessor
JS Consult seeks an individual to support and deliver end-point assessments (EPA) to apprentices on a growing number of the new trailblazer standards. This role requires someone who is flexible in their approach to all tasks, with the independence to travel and has exceptional assessment abilities coupled with the ability to act with integrity and impartiality. You will require an Enhanced DBS Disclosure for this role.
Key duties include:

- Deliver outstanding end-point assessment services to assigned apprentices and employers.
- Undertake end-point assessment activities with integrity and impartiality to offer a fair, reliable and consistent assessment experience for all apprentices and employees and record learner progress.
- Manage assigned caseload to ensure all stages of the EPA journey are completed timely and to the expected standard preparation and assessing coursework.
- Be responsible for maintaining your ongoing CPD relevant to both assessment practice and the industry for which you assess.
- Submit as required evidence of work for internal and external quality assurance.
- Actively participate in moderation, standardisation and development activities and meetings as required.
- Provide detailed and appropriate feedback to support apprentice development.

Functional Skills Tutor
JS Consult seeks an individual to support our Functional Skills Learners in Maths and English. This varied role will involve supporting the learner to achieve their required qualifications. Tutors will be required to work with groups and 1:1 and offer additional learning support if required.
You will require an Enhanced DBS Disclosure for this role.
Key duties include:

- Course planning and development/session preparation and teaching sessions
- Assessing learner needs and levels and creating Individualised target setting and planning
- Tracking and recording learner progress
- Provision of feedback and guidance to learners
- Exam preparation and assessing coursework
- Meet prospective learners to discuss the programme and conduct enrolment sessions.
- Contact employers to arrange work placements for learners and undertake workplace visits to complete risk assessments.
- At all times ensure that safe working practices are adopted in compliance with relevant health and safety procedures
- Promote Good Behaviour, dealing with prompting conflict and incidents in line with establishing policy and encouraging learners to take responsibility for their behaviour.
- Any other reasonable request or duties commensurate to the post.
